Breakfast

We take breakfast very seriously around here. The menu changes daily, and special care is taken to ensure guests who stay overnight multiple nights have different deliciousness each morning. Breakfast is served buffet style at 7am. We do our best to accommodate allergies and chosen diets, but please let us know ahead of time if you have specific needs. Breakfast is $15 and you must be signed up by 7pm the night prior. Feel free to call ahead if you'll be arriving late. Per Virginia law, breakfast is served to overnight guests only.

Hiker favorites include: Baked Blackberry French Toast, Biscuits and Gravy, Carrot Cake Muffins with Cream Cheese Filling, Pimento Cheese Grits, Banana Walnut Muffins with Cinnamon Glaze, Southwest Frittata, Oatmeal Yogurt Pancakes, Applesauce with Honey Whipped Cream and Walnuts, Chocolate Cherry Scones, Breakfast Burritos, Quiche Lorraine, Sweet Potato Hash, Parmesan Grits, Double Chocolate Muffins, Rice Pudding (yes, for breakfast), Baked Eggs with Fresh Herbs, and of course our very own apple butter, honey, and blackberry jam. Ok, that is a lot of favorites... but like we said, we take breakfast very seriously.

The fridge is stocked with pop, Gatorade, chocolate milk, V-8, and Babybel cheese; and the freezer is full of pizza, ice cream bars, and high-protein veggie meals. There is a hot water kettle, microwave, toaster oven, sink, fridge, and freezer (with ice) in the hiker kitchen.

Resupply

Resupply

We have an excellent resupply shop with everything you need to get you to your next stop. If you resupply here, rather than at a big box store in a nearby town, you won't have to carry all that food so far, and you'll also be supporting our small business. We have pah-lenty of snacks, oatmeal, pasta sides, mountain house, poptarts, and fuel. You won't find any Honey Buns or Clif Bars in the house... sorry, but I ate so many of those on my thru-hike that I can't stand the sight of them!
